Meeting in February 2021, Nicole and Ri'chard became fast friends. Attending multiple themed parties, festivals and even australian rap battles together. The two were nearly inseparable so, when Ri'chard had the idea of making a podcast, Nicole was the only choice as his cohost. The two have always desired to share their lived experiences in Australia with their friends and family back in the States but blogging was way too hard. Thus, "Melanated in Melbourne" was born.
